THIS IS A LUXURY WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE LODGE

The log cabin is situated within White Cross Bay

Leisure Park and Marina. On the A591 midway between

Windermere and Ambleside.

This lodge sleeps six in two bedrooms and on a bed settee. The master bedroom has two 3ft beds that can easily be moved

with space underneath to slide in a hoist, but this is not supplied . There is ample drawer and wardrobe space with a low

hanging rail. The room is equipped with a 19inch LCD TV and limited sky channels (6).The en-suite bathroom is equipped as

a wet room with a roll in shower and a drop down seat. The toilet has two drop down arms and access for lateral transfers.

The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds, wardrobe and drawer space.

The family bathroom has a toilet, bath and a shower over the bath . It also has several grab rails.

The living area is open plan and is again very suitable for a wheelchair user with two armchairs and a bed settee. the 32inch

LCD TV has  the same sky channels. (these do seem to vary but BBC1, BBC2, ITV 1 ITV2 Channel 4 Sky sports,

2 film channels ) The Blue Ray player (need to bring your own Blue Ray discs at the moment) We have a number of DVD’s

for all ages. There are double patio doors that open out onto the decking which has a picnic bench and several folding

casual chairs. The lodge is fully central heated with double glazing and a gas fire for the chilly evenings. The dining area

seats six and has room to accommodate a wheelchair with ease. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge /freezer,

dish washer. microwave, cooker and  a coffee machine. This area is not really set up for a wheelchair user but access to the

main items are within reach.

There is parking space at the foot of the ramp which leads up to the front door and decking. It is a short distance to the main

reception, two bars and restaurant, the swiming pool and gym. There is a small area set aside for slot machines for the wet

occasions. All the paths within the park are tarmac but there are some steep hills. The area where our lodge is situated is 

flat and gives easy access down to the lake side and marina with ample scope for feeding the ducks and swans.
